True Food Kitchen recently added to its health-focused menu for the fall season with its first-ever beet-based burger called the Unbeetable Burger. The nutritious patty with anti-inflammatory benefits is made with a base of beetroot and kuzu root, giving it a flavor that's sweet and savory. The Unbeetable Burger.is served on a flaxseed bun that's layered with teriyaki sauce, jicama slaw, butter lettuce, avocado and vegan mayonnaise.
The plant-based burger is made with only clean and unprocessed ingredients and was inspired by the principles of the anti-inflammatory food pyramid created by True Food Kitchen founder Dr. Andrew Weil.
On their own, beets are rich in minerals, vitamins and antioxidants, and are useful for lowering the blood sugar, plus supporting digestive and brain health.
