Ecobodaa Kenya Announced its 'Umeme 3000' E-Motorbike

'Ecobodaa Kenya,' the company purporting to be the first African electric motorbike taxi company, announced the launch of its first e-motorbike, the 'Umeme 3000.' This electric motorbike is debuting via an IndieGogo campaign hosted by Ecobodaa Kenya that will soon go live. This electric motorbike promises to revolutionize the micro-mobility industry in Africa by bringing zero-emissions, high-performance, and functional utility to the table.

The Umeme 3000 boasts a 3kW mid-drive motor that delivers a top speed of 120 kilometers per hour by default, which can be manually unlocked to achieve 150 kph. The e-motorbike is powered by a 20kg, 3.24 kWh battery pack that delivers an approximate range of 80 kilometers on a single battery or 160 kilometers with two equipped batteries. Perhaps the most noteworthy feature of the Umeme 3000 is its acceleration and performance. The bike accelerates from 0-90 kph in approximately 5 seconds and features enough modular utility to be useful to both errand runners and delivery workers alike.
