Stylized Racing Chairs

The Ultra Long Distance Wheelchair Combines Performance & Comfort

Designer Andrew Mitchell has created the Ultra Long Distance Wheelchair, a wheelchair designed for racing that provides superior performance as well as comfort.

Mitchell's Ultra Long Distance Wheelchair is a racing chair designed to accommodate rough use over long distances. His design is unique in that it enhances breathing by placing the user so that his chest is in an open position, describes DesignBuzz. For extra comfort and to give the rider different ways of supporting her body weight, the Ultra Long Distance Wheelchair is designed so that the rider's legs are placed in a more relaxed position than is typical for most racing wheelchairs.

The wheelchair also has a stylish design, with an exterior covered in carbon fiber -- with some parts purposely exposed -- and accented with red and gold.
