Swiss company Rinspeed has developed a new concept car known as 'Urban Commuter' (UC) that combines car, train and web. UC is a two seater car that covers long distances by custom railcars. Train passages can be booked directly from the car via 3G internet connection.
UC is a lightweight car that produces 130 Newton meters of torque and with an operating range of 105 km and it reaches a top speed of 120 km per hour.
UC's technical features include a force-feedback joystick replacing the traditional steering wheel and a crystal tank lid from Swarovski which covers the 230-volt plug.
UC is a complete eco-friendly car powered by lithium-ion batteries from Li-Tec-Battery of Germany.
