Heineken’s 'U-Code' is bringing people together, and opening possibilities.
The U-Code is a fully customized QR code that users are able to personalize with their own message. After the message is created, the 'U-Code is then printed off as a sticker and the participants are then able to communicate with each other by taking pictures of the QR encoded messages.
The project was put together to promote Heineken's new slogan “Open Your World,” and was unveiled at a music festival. The project was an overwhelming success, as it surpassed expectations, and had many happy participants who then in turn had a lot to tell their friends. The experiment is part of Heineken’s quest to engage its followers, and gain more potential business from loyal fans. The U-Code enabled Heineken to spread its message and connect with a variety of individuals.
