Twitter Fleets Will Delete After 24 Hours

The permanence of what we post on social media has caused a lot of controversy among consumers, leaving many to discuss the importance of being mindful online -- Twitter Fleets are the latest feature to join in on this discussion, as it enables users to temporarily post a message on one's account.

Much like Instagram stories or Snapchat messages, twitter Fleets will be public for 24 hours on one's page before being automatically deleted. This move speaks to the social media site's move toward more privacy controls, will allowing users to experiment and have a little more fun with what they choose to share. Fleets cannot be 'liked' or 'retweeted,' and any comments on them go directly to the user privately.
