The Turnip Prize 2010 is a "Crap Art Competition"
Meghan Young — November 27, 2010 — Unique
Spoofing the prestigious Turner Prize for yet another year, you can find a selection of entries for the Turnip Prize 2010 in the gallery above. Although it began as a joke more than a decade ago in 1999, the "crap art competition," as put by its website, continues to thrive.
From what I can tell, each entry is a visualization of a well-known saying -- or a silly interpretation of one. For instance, the winner of the Turnip Prize 2010 created an 'art piece' that represented the term "In a Pickle." He received a turnip with a rusty nail shoved into it.
