The Tune-Yards ‘My Country’ music video stars the kids of Brightworks and San Francisco Rock Project. The kids are housed in a primary hued warehouse, draped in sculptural pieces and color-blocked clothing. The brilliant children shake it out and kill it with their super energized stage presence.

Not only is is the video engaging and energizing, but it is also a brilliant study and showcase of color, form and symmetry. The balance of the film is astounding, incorporating a multi-decimal point precision in consideration of angles and hues. Directed by Mimi Cave, the composition and artistic vision of the project is memorable and can easily be watched on repeat.

Tune-Yards is the New England-based music project of Merrill Garbus. Garbus creates spontaneous tracks of drum loops, layered with ukelele, electric bass, vocals and keyboards.
