Tubi Targets Younger Viewers with Ad Innovations at IAB NewFronts

Tubi unveiled a suite of advanced advertising solutions and brand partnerships aimed at enhancing viewer engagement and catering to its growing base of younger users.

Key among the announcements is Tubi Wrappers, a new homepage takeover format that allows studio advertisers to promote theatrical releases through animated backgrounds, embedded trailers, and branded user interface elements—complete with prominent calls to action. Tubi also introduced carousel ads designed for CPG, tech, and automotive brands.

In addition, animated pause ads with sound-off, looping backgrounds will provide brands with non-intrusive visibility during content pauses. Another significant innovation is Tubi Moments, a contextual ad solution that tags specific scenes within content, allowing advertisers to align messaging with relevant story beats—improving ad relevance and viewer impact.

“Streaming has gone from emerging to central, so it’s over half of Tubi’s audiences that are young and multicultural,” Tubi TV CRO Jeff Lucas commented. “That’s key for us—millennials, Gen Z, cord-cutters, and cord-nevers—and hard to find on any other streaming platforms. There’s not a lot of overlap, but one of the keys is to find them in a brand-safe environment, and that’s what you do at Tubi.”
