Intriguing Derelict London Homes

Nikjoo and Flawk Design the Trove Home in East London

Architecture studio Nikjoo works in collaboration with creative developer Flawk to create the Trove home located in East London. The renovation process started as a post-war home that underwent a process that opened up the interior and added a pair of extensions that were fitted by designers. The studio worked to transform the once-dark home and expand it by the rear and attic areas.

Nikjoo speaks to Dezeen about the design process, stating "The brief was to maximise space and light to create a calm, serene environment that would not only support flexible, modern living but also form a backdrop to playful design interventions. Through the curation of pieces by young, independent designers, Flawk set out to create intrigue and delight through often overlooked elements such as door handles, lights and loo roll holders."
