Origami-Inspired Chairs

One Designer Creates a Chair Inspired by the Geodesic Dome

A design studio created this visually stunning and origami-inspired chair. The team harnessed the vision of other innovative designs and applied it to a smaller scale when bringing this project to life.

The 'Q5 Chair,' created by the Ukranian design firm 'ODESD2' serves as piece of work dedicated to the creator of the geodesic dome, Buckminster Fuller. Inspired by another designer, the chair is entirely composed of triangles. The geometric design sees every triangle folding into another to create the seat.

The chair featrues aluminum alloy and boasts a lightweight and structurally-innovative design. The origami-inspired chair is available in three different color schemes -- including black, red and white -- and can also be lined with felt for warmth and comfort. The chair is a standout piece for any modern or minimalist home or apartment.
