You don't have to be a tree hugger or an audiophile to dig the Tree Stump Speaker from Thomas Laenner. The Tree Stump Speaker is a speaker system for MP3 players designed to look like a permanently trimmed tree of the stumpy variety.
The Tree Stump Speaker has two stumps, both of which are actually 4-inch speakers. The sound coming out of the speakers is controlled by a circular controller hidden in the tree. The Tree Stump Speaker also comes in a mountable version that looks a lot more realistic and is easily my favorite of the two versions. The only knock against this design is its lack of a physical dock. The Tree Stump Speaker can only be connected to devices via a 3.5 mm cable that plugs into audio jacks.
