Technology Skin Burns

Cozy Computer Time Can Lead to "Toasted Skin Syndrome"

Many people worry only about burns from the sun, the stove and fire, but something called "Toasted Skin Syndrome," which can lead to skin cancer, can result rather surprisingly from the frequent practice of lap-top computer usage.

A recent complaint by a 12-year-old gamer revealed a noticeable sponge-patterned burn on his left leg, the location under which his laptop's processor was situated. Though "Toasted Skin Syndrome" has effected heat-proximate workers throughout human history, the cases of the affliction have increased within the general public, attributed to the use of our beloved technologies.
