DoorDash Will Roll Out Its New Tipping Model Beginning Next Month

DoorDash has released the information on its new tipping model. The company announced that it would change the way tipping works on the platform and is now ready to implement the new system. DoorDash's new tipping model will pay delivery personal a base rate between $2 and $10 dollars, depending on the distance of the delivery. DoorDash will also provide additional bonuses to the delivery personnel.

The company's CEO Tony Xu spoke on the new system, “Every dollar customers tip will be an extra dollar in their Dasher’s pocket." The CEO said that the reworked tipping system is in response to feedback from customers on the platform. The new tipping model will come to the platform next month.
