Timbre Speakers is a modern desktop speaker system designed by three students in the Mechanical Engineering program at Stanford University, under the company name Running Farm Labs. The device is crafted from solid alder wood and stainless steel.
Despite its compact size, Timbre was designed without compromising its function. The device sounds as great as it looks; the small device has the potential to pack a big sound into a small package. Using innovative acoustic mechanisms, the sound is crisp and clear as the entire front of the device is a speaker. The beautiful aesthetics of Timbre can be seen by its simple design and combination of wood and stainless steel.
The modern speaker isn't expensive either and is available on Kickstarter.
