Space-Soaring Tables

TIE Fighter Table Has Been Imaginarily Repurposed After Intergalactic Wars

There is a story to accompany the TIE Fighter Table, and one that would be best told on a television screen with the text slowly disappearing into the endlessness of outer space. The maker of this piece of futuristic furniture was inspired by the Star Wars movies and their fascinating spaceships that took them between different planets at light speed.

Igor Chak imagines that a twin ion engine (TIE) fighter has crashed down to the ground, and the designer thus decides to repurpose it for the domestic environment. The Galactic Empire star fighter is turned over so that its spoked sides can be used conveniently as the base and the top of the TIE Fighter Table. A glass panel completes the surface for a compelling sci-fi look.
