Cyborg-Inspired Lamps

These Aluminum Three-Legged Lamps Resemble Alien-Like Creatures

Designer Karim Rashid created this line of three legged-lamps that look just like tiny aliens. The lamp collection is appropriately titled 'Cyborg Lamp.' The tripod-looking lights are made of a single cohesive material that looks like a balloon that has been horizontally cut in half and three sections were stretched out to reach the floor.

The three-legged lamps are made of a smooth cast aluminum material and painted neutral colors with a glossy finish. The colors include cyan, lime, grey or an natural aluminum color.

Each lamp is equipped with a light bulb that is located beneath the dome-like structure. With the light being eliminated from the underside of the lamp, it creates the perfect desk light. The small lamps provide enough light to eliminate a whole desk or they can be used as a low-glowing night light.
