If you happen to visit San Pedro, Mexico, you may find a pastry shop that is way out of the culture you'd expect there. Theurel & Thomas was founded in 2009, and it is the first French pastry shop in Mexico that makes the French-loved delicacy known as macarons.

What makes Theurel & Thomas even more unique is its delightful interior. The shop is completely doused in white paint and decorated with Victorian-style furnishings and artwork that give it the authentic French-bakery feel. The highlight is the macarons that are housed in the glass display cases. Their flamboyant colors stand out profoundly from the simple white atmosphere, and they quickly grab the attention of customers. Though these macarons are a far way from home, Theurel & Thomas make the perfect home for them.
