With the upsurge in acronym usage thanks to instant messaging, texts, and social netowrking, it's easy to lose sight of expanding one's vocabulary; but with The Word Project, that may all change. At the very least, it will change in regards to the odd and obscure words that this book contains.

Created by artist Polly M. Law, The Word Project is filled with quirky illustrations that depict and describe words that the average person is not exposed to. For instance, one word Law illustrates is 'dasypygal,' which means 'having hairy buttocks.' In the image she has illustrated, she shows a curvaceous, monster-like purple woman who happens to have a hairy butt.

The Word Project is available on Amazon for about $20. Purchase it and expand your lexicon.
