Haunting Whisky Spirits

Folklore Inspired The Whisky Exchange's Caoineag – The Weeping Spirit

October embodies dark allure and supernatural fascination, and with Halloween fast approaching, The Whisky Exchange bottled a six-year-old Ben Nevis single malt called Caoineag – The Weeping Spirit.

This whisky's notes were expressly chosen for their rich earthiness, peaty qualities and a sense of drama, evoking misty Scottish lands where a female spirit—sometimes called a Highland banshee or a weeper—is said to foretell death, according to folklore, with her lamenting cries. Design-wise, the spooky whisky spirit is just as dark and forboding, thanks to its dark label.

Caoineag – The Weeping Spirit is launching exclusively through The Whisky Exchange on October 31st, online, or in its three stores located at London Bridge, Covent Garden and Great Portland Street.
