The two companies recently announced that The Weather Channel's mobile site will now offer visitors the option to order food deliveries directly through the site by integrating services like delivery.com and Caviar.
While The Weather Channel's website is popular in terms of pure volume of visitors, most people spend only a few seconds on the site checking the temperature and the precipitation figures. To encourage people to stay on the mobile site longer and engage more thoroughly, The Weather Channel realized that people check the weather to see how it impacts their lives. As such, it offers up delivery food options on rainy evenings and it gives restaurant recommendations when the weather's nice.
