The Vilcek Foundation has opened applications for the 2027 Vilcek Prizes for Creative Promise in Culinary Arts. This program offers six unrestricted cash awards of $50,000 dollars each to young immigrants in the United States who have demonstrated outstanding early achievement in their field.

The Vilcek Foundation divides the prizes into two categories. Three awards will go to individuals working in Food and Beverage. This includes chefs, beverage professionals, and artisan food makers. The other three will support those in Media and Storytelling, such as culinary writers, filmmakers, content creators, and podcasters.

Eligible applicants for the 2027 Vilcek Prizes for Creative Promise in Culinary Arts must be aged 38 or younger. They must have lived in the United States for at least four years, possess five years of relevant experience, and show a strong record of high-caliber work that enriches the culinary arts.
