Boston Dynamics programmed the Spot Robot to honor the Rolling Stones as the world celebrates the 40th anniversary of the Tattoo You album. The British band is celebrating through the robot's mimicking dance moves. Spot has become one of the most well-known dynamic robots for performing chores, and it can also provide pop culture entertainment.
The engineers at Boston Dynamics programmed the robot to dance like Mick Jagger to the Rolling Stones' 1981 hit "Start Me Up." It mimicks the rock star's hip-shaking moves to near perfection. Boston Dynamics also programmed other Spot robots to emulate the actions of Keith Richards, Ronnie Wood, and Charlie Watts. The celebrations and comical video is available to watch on Youtube.
