The social job search continues to grow as more and more employers hunt for potential employees online. It's not only LinkenIn that recruiters are using, but Twitter and Facebook as well. In fact, 33 percent of recruiters use Facebook while 42 percent use Twitter.
There are many advantages to finding applicants over the internet. It's cheaper, recruiters can find applicants who would have not normally applied and they can target a specific set of skills. For people hunting for a job there are a few ways to get noticed. The most important thing is that one should always have a pleasant display photo. To get even more attention, one could also set up a page on 'About.me' which is basically like a one page website for yourself.
Finding a job in this day and age is becoming easier if one knows how to use the proper social media tools to their advantage.
