Continuing to build out its e-commerce platform, Facebook has unveiled a series of new tools designed to help businesses connect with prospective customers on its app. According to Reuters, the new features aim to provide customers with a more personalized experience, while also making online shopping through all of Facebook's channels -- including Instagram and Whatsapp -- more efficient.
One of the standout new features will be the ability for businesses to add a clickable icon on their Instagram profiles that will automatically let users message them via WhatsApp. According to the company, this is a particularly important new tool for customers in Brazil, where the company has also recently rolled a new business directory feature on Whatsapp.
In addition, the new tools will focus on improving the Facebook Suite. One, in particular, will allow brands to send emails through the suite in order to streamline consumer outreach.
