Those who want more out of their scarves are going to love the RainScarf. This double-duty neck warmer is exactly what its name suggests: a scarf that also doubles as a protective hood. It was designed by Andre Dettler, an industrial designer based in Brooklyn, and comes in pink and gray.
The soft part of the scarf is made of either a cashmere blend (grey) or a cotton polyester blend (pink.) The scarf measures 75 inches and quickly transforms into a hood when you turn it inside out. The hood portion is made of water-resistant nylon, ensuring that your head will be effectively shielded from the elements. Dettler has successfully funded the RainScarf on Kickstarter and is shooting for a delivery date in early December, with a line of kids scarves to follow sometime in the future.
