Ed Casabian, also known as the NYC Nomad, has spent the last 15 months of his life living in a different neighborhood in New York City every week. The NYC Nomad sleeps on the couches, beds and floors of friends, relatives, friends of friends and complete strangers. How's that for couch surfing?

Casabian was inspired to become the NYC Nomad after breaking up with his girlfriend of seven years in 2010. The Nomad was left with a broken heart and remembered the times that he was happiest were when he was traveling. Casabian decided to travel again, although he decided to keep things local and stay in the Big Apple. Since becoming the NYC Nomad, Casabian has stayed in 41 different neighborhoods with all kinds of people.
