Applegate Farms is now introducing The New Food Collective as a premium brand that creates small-batch culinary-inspired products with pasture-raised meats. Notably, The New Food Collective's fresh sausages are the first pork to be certified by the American Grassfed Association (AGA). AGA standards specify that hogs must have maximum access to the outdoors, which allows them to gather most of their food outside by roaming, foraging and grazing. The New Food Collective sources its meat from farms that use regenerative agricultural practices to boost soil quality, water retention and support biodiversity.
The small-batch products are available in varieties like Hot Italian Sausage with fennel, chili flakes and cayenne, Breakfast Sausage, Sweet Italian Sausage with fennel, sea salt and pepper and Ginger-Scallion Pork Sausage, which is said to pair well with dumplings and curries.
