Made from stained beechwood, the Filo chair is wrapped in rope to create a graphic sensibility. Using robust lines to contour its frame, the chair boasts a typographic appearance from its side profile.
The French brothers applied their knowledge from past projects to create a structure that maximizes strength and minimizes wood waste. Ronan Bouroullec explains: "Filo is very well composed [chair] in the sense of its lines, the tension, and the radius, but it's a bit more square than our usual work." The chair is best suited around a rectangular table to create an appealing geometric design.
