The little hinged object has been scaled up in size so that it's best operated with several fingers or even two hands. A lightbulb protrudes from one of the pinchable ends of the Clamp Lamp; the other end opens and closes to secure itself on tabletops and shelf ledges. The illuminator can also simply be set down.
