Mario Santamaria's blog, titled 'The Camera in the Mirror,' is a collection of screenshots of when the Google camera catches its own reflection in the mirror.
You might be aware of Google's plan to take take over the world; its latest scheme involves showcasing art galleries and opulent buildings from around the globe. Santamaria takes advantage of this endeavor by collecting the blink-and-you'll-miss-it moments when the camera appears visible.
The result is vaguely unsettling in the way that seeing something you're not supposed to see usually is. It feels almost as though we're seeing the strings and wires behind an elaborate performance, one which we would rather be fooled by. In some shots, a ghostly figure appears, while in others the camera equipment is cloaked in a mysterious silver cloth.
