If you think you have the chops to sing in front of judges and a live audience, Walt Disney World’s The “American Idol” Experience should be your next vacation destination. The attraction, which opened in February, is tucked within Disney’s Hollywood Studios and allows you to audition every day for the opportunity to sing in front of a live audience and a three-judge panel.
If you’re more keen to watch, heckle and vote than stand up and sing, The “American Idol” Experience features a 1,000-seat theater where you can vote for your favorite performances using an armrest keypad.
The “American Idol” Experience singers receive help with hair and makeup and professional coaching before they head onstage. According to The Courier-Journal, the day’s top performers return for a grand finale encore, the winner of which receives an “American Idol” Experience Dream Ticket. This ticket entitles its bearer to jump the line at any regional “American Idol” audition for the TV show.
