This year, the Dallas Fort Worth International Airport is kicking off the Thanksgiving travel season with special perks for weary travelers. With thousands of additional travelers expected to pass through the airport this holiday season, the promotion helps to make travel time just a little bit less stressful.
Set to take place on what has been dubbed 'Orange Wednesday,' the Dallas Fort Worth International Airport will offer a week a free Terminal Parking to the first 1,000 cars arriving at the airport. The airport will also be giving travelers a chance to meet the new DFW K9 Crew, which consists of a dozen service dogs trained to reduce stress and delight travelers waiting in the terminals. People can even take photos with the dogs and share them on social media with the hashtag '#DogsofDFW.'
The clever promotion demonstrates how airports can make the most of the busy Thanksgiving travel season, by finding new ways to keep travelers happy and stress-free.
