Bird of Prey Sneakers

These Split-Tongue Textured Sneakers are Inspired by the Crested Goshawk

These grey textured sneakers were designed in a collaboration between the Japanese retailer 'Invincible' and the 'ASICS Tiger' brand. The Gel Lyte shoe is called 'Formosa,' the name taken from the Latin word for the bird that inspired the shoes' design. The Crested Goshawk, otherwise known by scientists as the Accipiter Trivirgatus Formosae, is an Asian bird of prey that is grey in color and resembles an eagle.

The grey tonal pattern of the shoe mimics the bird's shading, while red, white and blue detailing by the heels provide the sneakers with a pop of color. The stylish running shoes have multiple textures, with fuzzy embossed stripes. The split-tongues carry on the animal theme, resembling the tongue of a snake.
