Flower Pot Fixtures

The Terra Lamp Turns Ordinary Mass-Produced Objects into an Extraordinary Item

Great and grand and a staggering 75 pounds, the Terra Lamp is composed of a collection of little objects that you'll recognize from the hardware store shelf. Isn't it funny how such mundane items can be repackaged into something so magnificent?

This is precisely the effect that Tyson Atwell wished to produce in his elevation of tiny terracotta flower pots to the components of a monumental chandelier. The enormous pendant lamp uses almost 200 individual planters with each one installed to face open and outwards, acting collectively to blot out the intense brightness of the lightbulb in the center.

The unique lampshade is assembled on a powder-coated steel frame that comes collapsed for easy shipping. The large and fragile Terra Lamp is much better suited for assembly on-site.
