Riot Games Announced Set 15 K.O Collosseum for TFT

— July 15, 2025 — Tech
The K.O. Coliseum expansion for Teamfight Tactics, officially set 15, launches on live servers July 30, with a Public Beta Environment (PBE) preview beginning July 15. This update adopts an anime–tournament theme, framing each match as a grand “fighting tournament.” Central to the set is the new Power Up mechanic, which grants every player two “Power Snax” consumables during a match. When applied to a champion, each Snax opens an armory of three bespoke buff options—ranging from generic stat boosts (e.g., bonus attack damage) to champion-specific upgrades—allowing tactical flexibility as the game progresses. Players may reassign Power Snax at any time by selling or “removing” the host champion, ensuring late-game carries can become the true main character of the match.

K.O. Coliseum introduces 13 brand-new and returning traits, including Soul Fighter, Star Guardian, Crystal Gambit, Mighty Mech, Monster Trainer, Battle Academia, Luchador, Mentor, The Crew, Supreme Cells, Wraith, and the 5-cost Stance Master. Each trait draws on classic anime tropes—such as magical girl squads (Star Guardian) or giant robot assemblies (Mighty Mech)—to provide both thematic cohesion and mechanical variety. Additionally, Riot has revamped champion roles and mana generation: tanks now gain mana per attack and when damaged, while other roles receive tailored mana-per-second or damage-triggered generation. This role-based mana rework aims to deepen strategic decision-making and align champions more closely with their intended playstyle.
