Pop Chart Lab has released an incredibly detailed beer taxonomy chart labelled 'The Magnificent Multitude of Beer.' The poster is organized by varieties of beer, with examples of brands for each type of beer.
Each major beer category such as 'lager,' 'pale ale' and 'stout' gets its own bubble, which is visually connected to smaller bubbles denoting sub-categories. Each sub-category bubble is then connected to brand name examples of beers that fall into that category. For example, the major category 'Stout' is linked to the sub-category 'Irish Stout,' which is linked to Guinness.
The bottom of the chart depicts the glasses recommended for each kind of beer.
Pop Chart sums up its beer taxonomy chart as "the most complete charting of beer ever, breaking down ales and lagers into over 100 delicious styles from hoppy IPAs to fruity lambics, and including over 500 individual beers as notable examples of each style as well as glassware recommendations."
