Tangled Art Gallery Highlights the Works of Disabled Artists

Tangled Art Gallery in Toronto is more than just an accessible place where people with disabilities can experience contemporary art. It's entire raison d'etre lies in accessibility and providing a platform for the disabled, with all the work on display in the gallery having been created by artists with disabilities.

As part of a registered charitable organization called 'Tangled Art + Disability,' the Tangled Art Gallery uses both its own platform and its proceeds to enhance opportunities from artists with disabilities. Work in the gallery spans many media, including visual, performance, film, and integrated art forms.

The venue is fully accessible, with wheelchair seating for about 30 people. All film screenings include closed captioning, and all live performances include ASL interpretation with the option for live audio description.
