Bandai Namco announced 'Tales of Symphonia Remastered' at Nintendo's Direct presentation on September 13th, 2022. Tales of Symphonia was originally released as a Nintendo Gamecube game in 2003 in Japan. Since then, the Tales series has become a worldwide success, spawning countless sequels and spinoffs across all popular gaming devices. The most recent iteration in the series is 'Tales of Arise' for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series S/X, and PC.
According to Bandai Namco, the company chose to remaster Tales of Symphonia specifically in order to "introduce this beloved entry in the series to a whole new generation of fans," continuing to state that Bandai Namco is "aiming to deliver an experience that’s true to the original yet engaging to a whole new audience of players." The game will be available for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch in early 2023.
