ATLUS has announced Raidou Remastered: The Mystery of the Soulless Army, a modernized version of the 2006 PlayStation 2 title Devil Summoner: Raidou Kuzunoha vs. The Soulless Army. This remaster retains the original's action RPG mechanics while incorporating significant updates, including enhanced graphics, a revamped battle system, and full voiceovers for the main story. Set in a fictional Taisho-era Japan, the game follows Raidou Kuzunoha XIV, a detective and Devil Summoner, as he investigates supernatural cases and combats demonic threats. Players can summon and command demons during real-time battles, with new features allowing the summoning of two demons simultaneously and the inclusion of additional demons from recent ATLUS titles.
The remaster introduces several quality-of-life improvements, such as fast travel, auto-save functionality, and adjustable difficulty settings, making the game more accessible to a broader audience. The user interface has been redesigned for better readability, and Raidou can now learn skills to exploit enemy weaknesses. Scheduled for release on June 19, 2025, Raidou Remastered will be available on multiple platforms, including PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, and PC.
