Dragon Quest is Reimagined into 2D Animation Video Games

Nintendo has announced a completely modernized remake of Dragon Quest 1 and 2, designed and illustrated as 2D animation video games.

The games will feature vivid HD-2D visuals that blend pixel art with 3D graphics, creating an immersive experience like never before. These remakes also offer an advanced and new user interface along with various enhancements for the game's quality-of-life aspects.

These 2D animation video games retain traditional Dragon Quest-style battles with a refined turn-based system, including new animations, adjustable battle speeds, and an auto-battle setting. Players will be able to deeply explore a vast world map, uncovering rich and captivating locations and facing many unexpected encounters. The remakes also boast authentic and diverse musical scores that capture the timeless essence and magic of the Dragon Quest universe.
