Rajan Bijlani Curates the Syncretic Voices Exhibition

Rajan Bijlani is a collector who has just opened up the Syncretic Voices exhibition in the comforts of his own residence in London. It highlights pieces from his collection -- specifically 500 pieces in total. The furniture showcased was made for Le Corbusier as a part of the master plan of Chandigarh in the 50s and 60s. Bijlani curates the exhibition along with art advisors Michael Jefferson and Truls Blaasmo.

Bijlani speaks to Dezeen about the design process, sharing "The building was formerly the residence and studio of the celebrated ceramicist Emmanuel Cooper from the late 1970s until he passed away in 2012. I wanted to honour the rich history of the arts in the space by hosting an exhibition here. Having the exhibition in my home is a way of narrowing the divide that is normally experienced between design and art and how they interact in a collection."
