McDonald's Sweet & Spicy Jam Sauce is a First of Its Kind

McDonald's Sweet & Spicy Jam Sauce is the chain's first breakfast-inspired dipping sauce in the United States and it's one of two limited-time sauces that's ready to be enjoyed with fries, nuggets or other fast food menu items. This jammy red pepper sauce boasts "tongue-numbing" Szechuan peppercorn, added heat from cayenne pepper and an apple cider vinegar finish.

The all-new Sweet & Spicy Jam Sauce is launching alongside McDonald’s Mambo Sauce, which was inspired by a regional Washington, D.C. area staple. Tariq Hassan, Chief Marketing and Customer Experience Officer at McDonald’s USA, said “Sweet & Spicy Jam and Mambo Sauce live at the intersection of flavor and culture—pulling from decades of rich food history and tradition in local restaurants and home kitchens."
