This Surreal Fashion Shoot Turns a Strange Eye to Haute Couture

Regular fashion photo shoots can get a little monotonous, so seeing a surreal fashion shoot that doesn’t lose the glam is a breath of fresh air. This photo series by Maurizio Cattelan and Pierpaolo Ferrari (the creators of Toilet Paper magazine) gets funky with fashion for some compelling photography.

New York fashion week was full of amazing styles and forward thinking designers with an eye for what’s now and more importantly what’s next. Keeping in the vein of forward thinking, these two photographers took the particularly compelling pieces of fashion and used them to create some surreal, dreamlike sequences for New York Magazine.

An example is taking the famous Chanel shoe and hanging it from a clothesline with the socks included, or having a group of models wearing Piero Fornasetti while cloaked in plastic sheets. This surreal fashion shoot is a cool way to showcase iconic styles with strange and compelling photography.
