Tranquil Shoppable Bungalows

Studio Robert Mckinley Unveiled the 'Captain Balfour' Bungalow

Studio Robert McKinley has unveiled a new Bungalow called 'Captain Balfour' in Montauk. The destination offers a tranquil waterfront escape and visually, the design is distinctive. This 3,800-square-foot property embraces its natural surroundings with decor sourced from around the world, combining unique objects and furniture with contemporary staples. The interiors feature a soothing color palette, vintage furnishings, and harmonious design elements. The exterior is finished with warm silvered cedar and mahogany, inspired by the northeast's cedar-clad homes.

Studio Robert McKinley redesigned the entire house from the ground up, with a strong focus on details like rough-sawn oak cabinetry, travertine countertops, and special tile designs by Heath Ceramics. The Bungalow also showcases a diverse collection of artworks and offers shoppable items, including furniture, lighting, and a new coffee table from MONEA.
