The 'Strömma' watch is a somewhat abstract timepiece design that works to bring a mechanical functionality to the accessory for enhanced aesthetic and visual appeal. The timepiece features a dial that is achieved using flipping segments which can continuously move to count down the minutes in the hour instead of utilizing a hand like other watches. The segments will cascade all at once when the hour is completed to start the process over again and create visual intrigue for wearers to admire.
The conceptual 'Strömma' watch is the design work of George Turvey, Sophie Kim, and Christian Bourgeois, and blends futuristic aspects with traditional timepiece design. An hour hand in the middle section allows wearers to easily see the time at a glance when they're on the clock, figuratively speaking.
