Carl Hansen & Søn Celebrates the 100th Birthday of Hans J. Wegner

Over the summer, famed Danish designer Hans J. Wegner would have celebrated his 100th birthday, and in honor of the special occasion, Carl Hansen and Son decided to launch a limited edition collection of striped chairs. These striped chairs focus on some of Wegner's most iconic designs including the Wishbone Chair, Wing Chair and Shell Chair.

Created in collaboration with Paul Smith and Maharam, the striped chair collection re-imagined each design in bold patterns that are stylishly masculine. Yet what happens to stand out even more than the stripes is Wegner's love of curves. Aside from the single sofa that is part of the striped chair collection, all of the seats boast distinct rounded silhouettes.
