Recycled Bottle Condiment Packaging

Stokes Sauces is Curbing its Use of Virgin Plastic

There is an abundant amount of plastic waste that is created on a global basis that brands like Stokes Sauces are aiming to take aggressive action over to help extend its functionality. The brand has announced that its sauces are now packaged in a recycled plastic bottle that will help it to avoid use of virgin plastic and help it move towards a more stainable future. The move is part of the brands bid to shift its operations to zero materials heading to the landfill by 2021.

Founder and Managing Director of Stokes Sauces Rick Sheepshanks spoke on the initiative saying, "The new plastic does have a slightly darker tint which particularly for the mayonnaise means the product looks a little different. We have had to take a deep breath before making this move and trust our customers to continue to support us. Our condiments remain as delicious as ever, and the plastic is of course completely food grade certified.”
