Battery-Boosted Stereo Amplifiers

This Modeling Amp Offers Big Sound In a Small Package

Japan-based electronic musical instrument and equipment manufacturer Roland has launched a brand new stereo amplifier that draws on the latest and greatest battery technologies to provide powerful and clearly audible sound in a relatively lightweight package.

The 'Cube Street II' amp is equipped with a pair of speakers that each churn out five watts of power, enabling clean sound in a variety of settings, particularly in the chaotic outdoor world in which many street musicians and performers ply their trade.

This stereo amplifier offers a range of features such as the ability to generate harmonies, tune instruments, exercise effects such as reverb and delay and even choose between instrument and microphone inputs.

Despite these impressive specs, the amplifier weighs less than 4.5 kilograms, making it an excellent option for buskers, camping enthusiasts and any musician who wants to take their craft with them on the road.
