The US-based food company Hunter Gatherer Foods recently debuted a product called Sprouted Pili Nuts that serve as a nutritious snack option. The nuts are not only a healthy alternative to other pre-packaged snack foods, but they are also a low-carb alternative to other nuts such as almonds, cashews and peanuts.

The Sprouted Pili Nuts consist of lightly seasoned pili nuts in varieties such as Spicy Chili and Traditional Style. The pili nuts come from the pili tree, which is commonly found in South East Asia. The nuts are are more eco-friendly option because they are grown without the use of pesticides or fertilizers and require no external water source. They are also good for humans because they serve as a source of calcium, manganese, phosphorus and folic acid.
